Contact Mr. Barnes Kenneth G. Barnes is the CEO of Upper Mohawk, Inc. Upper Mohawk, Inc. (UMI) is an American Indian owned company, offering Training, Information Technology and Cost Estimating Services. He manages all areas of UMI, including sales, marketing, training, budgeting, proposal writing, and strategic planning. Mr. Barnes is active on various boards including the National Chamber of Commerce, the Native American Business Alliance, the Ohio State University Board for Minority Business and the National Minority Supplier Development Council. Ken Barnes started in the Mail Room with Chrysler Corporation while attending night school. He achieved his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from St. Clair College. He held various computer programming positions with Chrysler Corporation until being hired by Federal Mogul Corporation and receiving several promotions. As Manufacturing Systems Manager for ARO Corporation, he was responsible for managing five plants and all manufacturing computer related systems. Patricia Barnes - PresidentContact Mrs. Barnes
With over 25 years extensive experience in the area of training development and training and needs assessments, Mrs. Barnes has the required skills, leadership and experience to design, manage and complete projects large and small for various government and commercial sectors. She has the ability to provide outstanding evaluation and consultation in areas of performance, productivity, employee and management training issues. In addition, Mrs. Barnes has delivered needs assessments on work force structure, workflow, management strength and initiated cooperative work forces for numerous private contracts. Mrs. Barnes is instrumental in the development of numerous workshops for corporations, staffing industries, Substance Abuse and Mental Health facilities and the general public. With her leadership, guidance and experience, Upper Mohawk, Inc. can meet and exceed your organizations project goals and needs. Loren Hess - General CounselLoren Hess is the Secretary, In-House Counsel, and Contracts Manager. Mr. Hess joined the company in January 1998 after providing part-time support to the Crusader Program. With a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, Mr. Hess has held a wide variety of management positions in both the government and commercial sector in both U.S. and European markets. This experience includes contract management responsibility for several major Defense Department programs, including:
Ron Harp - Vice President - Training & Training DevelopmentContact Mr. Harp
Ron Harp has specialized in overall administrative and managerial experience throughout his professional career. Mr. Harp has been responsible for budgets up to 50 million dollars and has had supervisory responsibility for up to 500 employees. He has worked with all levels of elected officials including local, state, and national. Mr. Harp has many years of experience collaborating with and organizing communities. Ron Harp is the Vice-President of Training and Development as well as Project Manager for Upper Mohawk, Inc., regarding contracts with the Department of the Interior. He is responsible for the national training program impacting Department of the Interior employees and over 300 American Indian Tribes. In November of 2001, Mr. Harp retired after 28 years of service to the State of Oklahoma’s Juvenile Justice System, as the Deputy Director of the Office of Juvenile Affairs. Mr. Harp began his career with the State in 1975 as one of only seven employees who designed and implemented the statewide juvenile system. Mr. Harp was administratively responsible for all programs and support services for the Oklahoma Juvenile Justice System, at one time or another. Mr. Harp has worked closely with several Governors, legislators, State Supreme Court Justices, and elected officials statewide throughout his career. Ron Harp has been responsible for conducting several needs assessments. He was responsible for assessing the data collected, providing recommendations, and making design decisions on actual programs from needs assessment results. Mr. Harp was also responsible for implementation and training regarding the outcome of these studies. He was responsible for the organization of the program training, as well as providing some of the training, itself. Mr. Harp has a Master of Science degree in Human Relations and a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology/Psychology from the Oklahoma State University. His professional memberships include: National Certified Mediation Association, National Council on Juvenile Justice, Oklahoma Council on Juvenile Justice, American Correctional Association, Ada Rotary Club and National American Indian Enrollment Association. |
